Welcome

The Child and Family Research Lab is comprised of a diverse group of researchers, students, and faculty from the University of Hawaii, Myron B. Thompson School of Social Work.  The research lab explores topics that are of concern to the well-being of families and children in Hawaii, the United States, and globally. In particular, the Child and Family Research Lab is producing cutting-edge research about social welfare issues for Pacific Islanders and Asians, is the only research lab in the United States that focuses on the social welfare and social work needs of the Pacific.  Our lab is comprised of the following research areas:

"If the people cannot trust their government to do the job for which it exists- to protect them and to promote their common welfare- all else is lost."
